Cardeiro Named MASCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University freshman midfielder Cory Cardeiro (Fall River, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending October 2^nd, 2011.    

Cardeiro netted the game winning goal and assisted on the Rams other marker in a 2-0 win over Salem State University on Saturday.  Entering the game, both teams were undefeated in the MASCAC at 2-0 and after the victory the Rams are now alone atop the conference standings.  Cardeiro and the Rams return to action on Tuesday with a non-conference tilt against Springfield College.
