Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University Athletic Department proudly honored the accomplishments of its student-athletes during the 2026 Student-Athlete Awards Ceremony, held in Logan Gymnasium on Monday, May 4th.

The event highlighted the athletic and academic excellence of student-athletes across all programs during the 2025–2026 academic year.

The ceremony opened with remarks from FSU President Nancy Niemi and Director of Athletics Tom Kelley, who both praised the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of Ram student-athletes.

Athletes from the fall, winter, and spring seasons were recognized for their All-MASCAC selections, MASCAC All-Academic honors, and regional and national accolades. In total, more than 210 student-athletes earned MASCAC All-Academic recognition across the three seasons. The ceremony also featured the presentation of four major departmental awards:

Female Senior Scholar-Athlete: Alessia Lye (Women's Lacrosse)

Male Senior Scholar-Athlete: Jake Barcelou (Men's Ice Hockey)

Female Athlete of the Year: Natalie Reynolds (Volleyball)

Male Athlete of the Year: Mathias Fowler (Football)

In addition to individual honors, each athletic program recognized both a Team MVP and a Golden Ram — an award selected by coaches to recognize an unsung hero, most improved player, or a student-athlete who embodies the team's values.
