Baseball Falls to Gordon in Non-Conference Action

Wenham, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team was defeated 11-5 this afternoon by Gordon College in non-conference action at White Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• The Rams trailed 3-0 in the top of the third when Johnny Lynch plate a run on a ground out. The Fighting Scots tallied two in the bottom of the frame to lead 5-1. 

• The Rams pulled within three on an RBI ground out from Nicholas Kutcher in the top of the fifth, but Gordon plated three apiece in the seventh and eighth to lead 11-2. 

• The Rams capped the scoring with a pair in the top of the ninth on a sacrifice fly from Zachary Kern and an RBI infield single from Ryder Brown. 

• Kutcher took the loss on the mound going 2.1 innings, allowing five earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts. 

• Kutcher finished the game with two hits, an RBI and a run scored, while Roscoe Palmer also finished with a pair of hits.
