Baseball Downs Curry 9-8 in Ten Innings

Milton, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team took advantage of a Curry error in the top of the tenth to score the game winning run as the Rams defeated the Colonels 9-8 this afternoon in non-conference action at Jack Vallely Diamond.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• The Rams jumped out to a 6-1 lead after three innings. Christian Cox belted a three run home run in the second inning and Rosco Palmer added a solo shot in the third. 

• The Rams added two more in the top of the fifth on a two run single from Scott Paquette extending the lead to 8-1. 

• The Colonels chipped away at the lead and tied the game with five runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh. 

• The Rams received a walk from Jakob Lindkvist to lead off the tenth and he came around to score on a error on Colin Johnson's single to right. 

• Charlie Ambroult earned the victory for the Rams tossing a scoreless tenth inning where he allowed two hits. 

• Palmer finished the game 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Paquette finished the game 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI.
