Field Hockey Downs Husson 2-1
Bangor, ME- The Framingham State College picked up 2-1
non-conference win over Husson University today at Husson's Winkin
Complex. Sophomore midfielder Kayleigh Force (Leominster,
Mass.) scored the game winning goal for the Rams in the
56th minute. With the loss, Husson drops to 2-6 on
the season, while Framingham ties the school record for wins in a
season as they improve to 10-2.
Husson's Lindsay Barnes (Owls Head, ME) notched the first goal of
the game with an unassisted score at the 42:22 minute mark.
Framingham State answered with a Kristen Sacco (Mendon, Mass.) goal
off of a short corner to tie the game in the 50th
minute. Six minutes after the Sacco goal, Force sealed the deal for
the Rams with a goal off a Katie Wotherspoon (Stafford, Conn)
assist.
Husson's Kristen Capen made 13 saves in goal on the day while
Framingham's Allesha Kenyon (Westford, Mass.) made one save and
picked up the win.
Husson returns to action at home against U. Maine Farmington on
October 17 at 4 p.m., while the Rams host Westfield State on Friday
at 4 p.m.
