Field Hockey Fourth Seed in LEC Tournament

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State College field hockey team finished in a four way tie atop the Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey standings and by virtue of the tie breaker system will be the fourth seed in the LEC Tournament which begins with four quarterfinal games on Tuesday, November 3rd.  The Rams host fifth seeded Bridgewater State College at 2 p.m.

he Rams shared the LEC Regular Season Championship with Keene State, UMass Dartmouth and Fitchburg State as all four team finished the regular season 9-2 in LEC action.  After the tie breakers, Keene State is the top seed in the tournament and will host eighth seed Salem State.  UMass Dartmouth is the second seed and host seventh seed Plymouth State, while Fitchburg State, who won the head-to-head match up with the Rams, is the third seed and host sixth seed Southern Maine.

The Rams were led this season by junior Kristen Sacco (Mendon, Mass.), who is leaving her mark on the FSC record book.  She leads the Rams in goals (19) and points (40) and during the season became the FSC All-Time leading scorer.  Senior Kali Barrett (North Attleboro, Mass.) is second on the team with 10 goals and 5 assists, while sophomore Kayleigh Force (Leominster, Mass.) has tied a single season school record with 10 assists.  Junior goalie Allesha Kenyon (Westford, Mass.) has compiled a 14-3 record this season and set a new school record for wins in a single season.  Kenyon has a GAA of 0.74 having only allowed 12 goals in over 1100 minutes of action.
