Bridgewater, Mass. – The Framingham State field hockey team lost a back-and-forth battle on the road Tuesday night at Bridgewater State in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Mazzaferro Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Bridgewater State opened the scoring in the first quarter with an unassisted goal from Madison Ellis at the 8:28 mark.
  • Framingham State responded in the second quarter when Natalia Roehr netted a goal to tie the game at 1-1.
  • The Bears regained the lead in the third quarter on a goal by Samantha Souza, assisted by Abbie Zuber.
  • The Rams fought back in the fourth, leveling the score at 2-2 thanks to Chloe Moynihan, who scored her seventh of the season off a feed from Mikayla Malmquist.
  • With just under four minutes remaining, Bridgewater State sealed the win with a goal from Ellie Moberg, again assisted by Zuber.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Framingham State recorded 14 shots, with 9 on goal, while Bridgewater State tallied 20 shots, including 14 on target.
  • Kaitlyn Tello made 11 saves in net for the Rams, playing all 60 minutes.
