Last Second Bucket Lifts Men's Basketball Past NEC 66-65

Henniker, N.H. - The Framingham State University men's basketball team received a layup with 19 seconds remaining from Makyle Hayes as the Rams defeated New England College 66-65 this afternoon in non-conference action at Bridges Gymnasium.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams trailed 65-60 with 1:37 to play and scored the final six points of the contest to secure the victory.  

  • The Rams fouled, but the Pilgrim missed both free throws and the Rams secured the rebound setting up Hayes' game winning bucket. 

  • Adonis Vashon paced the Rams with 18 points in the game on 6-of-12 from the floor to go along with six boards, two assists and a steal. 

  • Kyle Philistin finished the game with 17 points and two rebounds, while Marshall Kerley chipped in with 11 points, three rebounds and an assist. 

  • Hayes finished the game 4-of-8 from the field for eight points. Hayes added six rebounds, seven assists and four steals. 

  • Saint Jean finished the game with nine points and six boards.
