Fourth Seed Men's Basketball Falls to Top Seed Westfield State in MASCAC Tournament Semifinals

Westfield, Mass. - The fourth seeded Framingham State University men's basketball team was defeated 83-67 by top seed Westfield State University this evening in one semifinal of the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Tournament at the Woodward Center. With the victory, the Owls advance to the tournament finals on Saturday in Westfield.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams saw four players record double figures in the game led by 14 points on 5-of-8 from the field from Dyree Rogers. Rogers added four rebounds, two assists and a block in the game. 

  • Kyle Philistin chipped in with 12 points for the Rams as he connected on 3-of-8 from the floor and added two rebounds and two assists. 

  • JD Okafor and Joshua Saint Jean finished with 11 points apiece. Okafor added six rebounds and two assists, while Saint Jean narrowly missed a double-double as he grabbed nine boards. 

  • The Rams shot 60% from the floor in the game but turned the ball over 27 times against the Owls pressure defense. 

  • The Owls shot 49% from the floor in the game and 39% from behinds the arc while only turning the ball over nine times.
