Men’s Basketball Selected to Finish Fifth in 2025-26 MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's basketball team has been selected to finish fifth in the 2025-26 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches and announced by the league office this morning.
The Rams secured the fifth spot by receiving 23 total points after compiling a 12-15 record in 2024-25 including a 5-7 mark in league play. Returning for the Rams is 2024-25 All-MASCAC second team selection Joshua Saint Jean. Saint Jean finished the season leading the league in field goal percentage (61.4%) and third in rebounding (8.8 rpg). Saint Jean ranked seventh in the MASCAC in points per game (14.2) and led the league in offensive rebounds as he grabbed 88 offensive boards this season.
Westfield State landed in the top spot of the poll with five first place votes and 52 points, while Salem State grabbed the second spot with one first place vote and 40 points. Bridgewater State and Worcester State shared the third spot with 36 points apiece. The Bears secured the final two first place votes. Behind the Rams in sixth place is Fitchburg State with 16 points. Rounding out the poll are Anna Maria in seventh place with 13 points and MCLA in eighth with eight points.
The Rams open the 2025-26 season on Saturday, November 8thwhen they travel to Johnson & Wales for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
