Men's Basketball Uses Second Half Run to Secure 77-65 Victory over Dean

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University men's basketball team used an 11-0 second half run to open up a double digit lead as the Rams defeated Dean College 77-65 in non-conference action tonight at Logan Gymnasium.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams were paced by 26 points from Fallou Koite. Koite connected on 7-of-9 from the floor including 4-of-5 from long range while adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals. 

  • The first half was tied 15-15 with just under nine minutes to play, and the Rams used a 7-0 run capped by a Domonick Victor layup to lead 22-15 with just under seven on the clock. 

  • The Bulldogs closed the gap to four with just over a minute to play and went to the locker room with the Rams leading 29-25. 

  • In the second half, the Bulldogs closed the gap to one on a pair of occasions before the Rams used a 12-0 run to lead 49-36 with just over 13 minutes to play. 

  • Dean countered with a 9-0 run of their own closing the gap to 49-45 with just over 11 on the clock. Dean continued to chip away and pulled within one, 55-54, with just under eight minutes on the clock. 

  • The Rams scored the next 11 points of the game, retaking a double-digit lead with just under five to play.   The Bulldogs got no closer than eight points down the stretch as the Rams secured the victory.
