Fourth Seed Men's Basketball Falls to Second Seed Worcester State in MASCAC Semifinal

Worcester, Mass. - The fourth seeded Framingham State University men's basketball team saw their season come to a close tonight as they fell 71-62 to second seed Worcester State in one semifinal game of the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Tournament at Brissette Court.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams were led by 20 points from Lorenzo Washington. Washington connected on 7-of-16 from the floor and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals. 

  • Joshua Saint Jean finished the game with 11 points and six rebounds, while Vondre Chase finished the night with 10 points and four rebounds with two assists. 

  • In the first half, the Lancers took the lead after a 7-7 tie five minutes into the game and led by as many as 11 including leading 30-19 with 4:30 to play. 

  • The Rams closed the half with a 12-2 capped by a three from Dyree Rogers to head to half trailing 32-31. 

  • The second half opened with the two teams trading the lead over the first four minutes and neither leading by more than three points. 

  • Tied at 37-37, the Lancers rattled off a 9-1 run, taking a 46-38 lead. The Rams countered closing within two, 48-46, on a Washington free throw with ten minutes on the clock. 

  • Worcester maintained the lead with the Rams getting no closer than two points, 55-53, with just under six to play. 

  • The Lancers pushed the lead to as many as 10 down the stretch to advance to the finals.
