Men's Ice Hockey Downed at Salem State
ROCKETT ARENA – The Salem State men's hockey team posted a 3-0 shutout victory over Framingham State on Friday evening at Rockett Arena, improving to 8-12-3 overall and 6-4-2 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Salem State seized control in the first period, scoring all three goals to build an insurmountable lead.
- Owen Locke opened the scoring at 13:38 of the first period with an even-strength goal, assisted by Christopher Dowd and Nick Sweet.
- The Vikings extended their lead less than three minutes later when Eric Whitelaw capitalized on a power play opportunity at 16:06, with assists from Landyn Greatorex and Mitch Wilkie.
- Salem State capped the first-period scoring when James Tatro found the net at 17:06, assisted by Matt Babineau and Zach Dill.
- Both teams battled through scoreless second and third periods as goaltenders took over the game.

- Salem State goaltender Will Nepveu earned the shutout with 39 saves.
- Framingham State's Owen Swanbon made 29 saves in the loss.
