Men’s Soccer Opens 2025 Campaign With 3-0 Win Over Lasell

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State men's soccer team kicked off the 2025 season with an impressive 3-0 shutout victory over Lasell University Saturday morning at Maple Street Field. Three different Rams scored in the win, while freshman goalkeeper Colin Holt anchored the defense with a clean sheet. 

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams wasted little time getting on the board, striking in the 11th minute when John Holt buried a feed from Kaio Santos Da Silva for the season's first goal. 

  • In the 67th minute, Landon Medeiros extended the lead to 2-0 after creating space and finishing unassisted. 

  • Framingham put the match out of reach in the 76th minute as Graham Tinkham found the net off another setup from Santos Da Silva. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Framingham finished with an 11-7 edge in total shots, placing six on target. 

  • The Rams made the most of their chances, scoring three times on just six shots on goal. 

  • Colin Holt posted the shutout, stopping all four shots he faced. 

  • Santos Da Silva tallied two assists in his Rams season debut. 

  • Lasell held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks, but the Rams' back line stood tall throughout. 

UP NEXT: 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday evening when they host Trinity College at 7pm. The Lasers travel to Gordon on the same day for a 7pm tilt.
