Women's Basketball Slated to Finish Second in 2024-25 MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The reigning MASCAC Regular Season and Tournament Champion Framingham State University women's basketball team has been slated to finish second in the 2024-25 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches.
The Rams were chosen to finish tied for second in the poll with Westfield State. Both teams tallied 19 points and a single first place vote apiece. Returning for the Rams in the backcourt are Katherine Haselton and Chloe Rayko. Haselton averaged 9.3 points, five rebounds and two steals a game a season ago. Rayko averaged 8.8 points a contest and on the year shot 38% from behind the arc.
Bridgewater State claimed the top spot in the poll with 24 total points and the remaining four first place votes. Salem State secured the fourth position with 13 points and Worcester State (10 points) and Fitchburg State (5 points) rounded out the poll in fifth and sixth respectively.
The Rams open the season on November 8th and 9th when they travel to Brandeis University for a tipoff tournament.
