Women’s Basketball Hold Off Emerson for 68-60 Victory

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's basketball team held off a fourth quarter comeback from Emerson as the Rams defeated the Lions 68-60 this afternoon in non-conference action at Logan Gymnasium.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams received 20 points from Katherine Haselton. Haselton connected on 8-of-13 from the floor and added 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals. 

  • Chloe Rayko came off the bench to score 14 points for the Rams as she connected on 3-of-3 from behind the arc, while Michelle Moreno added 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. 

  • Faith Greene chipped in with a double double effort of 12 points and 15 rebounds with a pair of blocks. 

  • The game was tied 17-17 after one quarter, but the Rams outscored the Lions 20-11 in the second quarter taking the lead for good. 

  • The Lions used a late surge to close the deficit to 64-60, but the Rams went 4-for-4 from the line in the final minute to seal the victory.
