Four Rams Tally Double Figures as Women's Basketball Shoots Past Regis

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's basketball team saw four players score double figures as the Rams defeated Regis 78-56 this evening in non-conference action at Logan Gymnasium.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams were led by 19 points from Abigail Martin. Martin connected on 8-of-12 from the floor and added five rebounds, four assists and six steals. 

  • Kelsey Yelle chipped in with a double double of 13 points and 15 rebounds with four assists and a steal. 

  • Jacqueline Schels finished the game with 14 ponts, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals, while Kiara Cerruti finished the game with 12 points and Zaria Anderson came off the bench to score nine points with four assists. 

  • Trailing 5-4 midway through the first quarter, the Rams used a 9-0 run capped by a Kelsey Yelle layup to lead 13-5 with two minutes to go in the quarter.  

  • The Pride rattled off four straight points before the Rams took a 17-9 lead after one. 

  • The Rams opened the second quarter with a 7-0 run and led 24-9 with just under six minutes remaining. 

  • The Rams held the Pride to just seven points in the second quarter and led 35-16 at the half. The Rams maintained a large lead throughout the second half en route to the victory.
