Women’s Ice Hockey Drops Opening Round of MASCAC Tournament

NASHUA, N.H. – The number six seeded Framingham State women's ice hockey team fell to the third seeded Rivier 5-1 in the opening round of the 2025 Women's Ice Hockey MASCAC Tournament on Wednesday night at Conway Arena. 

THE BASICS: 

  • Final Score: Rivier 5, Framingham State 1 

  • Records: Framingham State (1-22-0), Rivier (14-10-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

  • Rivier opened the scoring at 12:56 when Rebecca McKelvey found the back of the net off an assist from Jillian Hallee. 

2nd Period: 

  • The Raiders regained the lead at 19:36 when Briana Paxson scored with assists from Jillian Hallee and Rebecca McKelvey to make it 2-1. 

 3rd Period: 

  • Rivier extended their lead just 17 seconds into the period as Breezy Parent struck for a goal, assisted by Rebecca McKelvey and Jillian Hallee. 

  • The Raiders capitalized on the power play at 00:43, with Breezy Parent scoring her second goal of the night, assisted by Rebecca McKelvey. 

  • Rivier sealed the victory at 5:54 as Rebecca McKelvey notched her second goal, assisted by Breezy Parent.
