Murphy Named MASCAC Women's Ice Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week

FRAMINGHAM, MASS. – Framingham State University freshman forward Molly Murphy (Milton, Mass.) has been named the MASCAC Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 1st.

Murphy earned the double honor after a historic performance in the Rams' 6-2 quarterfinal victory over Anna Maria College – the first MASCAC Tournament win in program history. The Milton, Mass. native recorded a hat trick in the milestone victory, providing the offensive spark that propelled Framingham State past the Amcats and into the conference semifinals.
