Women's Lacrosse Opens Season with Win Over Regis
Framingham, MA - Sophomore Ashley Noonan (Easton, MA) scored a team-high six goals and picked up two assists as the Framingham State College women's lacrosse team opened their season up at home today on Maple Street Field with a 20-0 win over the visiting Pride of Regis College.
Noonan led four Rams who scored multiple goals on the day. Fellow sophomore Kristen Giusti (Hopkinton, MA) picked up four goals and an assist on the day, while freshman Stephanie Corrales (Framingham, MA) and sophomore Kayla Sheehan (Watertown, MA) added three goals apiece. Corrales also picked up two assists on the day.
Seniors Alyssa Smith (Norwood, MA) and Caitlin Myers (Weymouth, MA), sophomore Jessica Wood (Framingham, MA) and junior Kelleigh Sheehan (Rockland, MA) each added single goals on the day. Wood and Myers also picked up an assist apiece.
Freshman Allesha Kenyon (Westford, MA) made her first collegiate start in net and made five stops en route to her first win.
The Framingham State Rams return to action on Tuesday, April 1st, as they travel to Pine Manor College for a 4:30 p.m. game, while the Pride return to action on Saturday.
