MASCAC Regular Season Champion Women's Lacrosse Earns Top Seed in 2024 MASCAC Tournament
Framingham, Mass. – The 2024 MASCAC Regular Season Champion Framingham State University women's lacrosse team has earned the top seed in this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Tournament. As the number one seed, the Rams host the lowest remaining seed in one semifinal on Thursday, May 2nd at 7 p.m. at Maple Street Field.
The women's lacrosse team capture the regular season title after finishing the regular season 13-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 in league play including a thrilling 15-14 victory over Westfield State to clinch the title.
The tournament begins on Tuesday, April 30th with fourth seed Bridgewater State hosting fifth seed Fitchburg State and third seed Worcester State hosting sixth seed Salem State in the two quarterfinals. The winners of the two quarterfinals advance to the semifinals on Thursday with the lowest remaining seed facing the Rams and the highest remaining seed traveling to second seed Westfield State.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday with the winners of the two semifinals meeting at the highest remaining seed. The winner of the finals receives the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.
