Women's Lacrosse Uses 4-0 Fourth Quarter Run to Secure 9-7 Victory over Ramapo

Panama City BeachFla. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team trailed 6-5 heading to the fourth quarter and scored the first four goals of the final frame as the Rams defeated Ramapo 9-7 this afternoon in non-conference action at Publix Park.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams jumped out to a 4-1 lead after one quarter with Kelley DeBellis finding the back of the night twice in the frame. 

  • Ramapo scored three goals in the second quarter and held the Rams off the board sending the game to half tied 4-4. 

  • In the third, Ramapo struck first before Jenna James found the back of the net knotting the score 5-5. Ramapo added a tally and led 6-5 after three. 

  • James tallied back to back goals at 7:33 and 6:37 of the fourth quarter putting the Rams on top for good.  Emma Kendzulak and Gabrielle Foster added goals pushing the Rams lead to 9-6 with just over three to play.  Ramapo added a late goal to reach the final margin. 

  • James finished the game with three goals for the Rams, while DeBellis and Kendzulak finished with two apiece.

The Rams are back in action next Wednesday when they host Keene State at 7 p.m.
