Women's Lacrosse Flies Past Fitchburg State For First MASCAC Victory Of Season
Framingham, Mass. – Freshman Jenna James scored seven goals to lead the Framingham State women's lacrosse team to a 15-2 MASCAC victory over Fitchburg State Saturday morning at Maple Street Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
· The Rams jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the first quarter of action thanks to five goals from James, including two on the man-advantage.
· After the teams traded second quarter tallies, Framingham State netted all five third quarter goals, including two off the stick of freshman Kate McGovern, to extend its advantage to 14-1.
· James closed out the Rams' scoring early in the final frame.
· McGovern added a hat trick for the winners, who received two goals and four assists from senior Kelley DeBellis and a pair of tallies off the stick of sophomore Maddie Bosma.
· Sophomore Emma Kendzulak accounted for the other goal on the day for Framingham State, which received four assists from senior Alessia Lye.
· Senior Bella DiMare picked up the win in goal with two first half saves for the Rams, who received a combined six second half stops from sophomores Allie Wurms and Makayla Harvey
· Freshmen Paige Marchand (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and Nevaeh Chiacchia (Monson, Mass.) scored Fitchburg State's goals in the setback.
