Worcester State Holds Off Women’s Lacrosse for 14-10 MASCAC Victory

Worcester, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team was defeated 14-10 by Worcester State this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Coughlin Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The two teams traded goals to start the game before Worcester State rattled off three straight to lead 4-1 with 9:30 in the first. 

  • The Rams answered with a 4-0 run including a pair of goals from Emma Kendzulak to lead 5-4 after one. 

  • The Rams led 7-5 after goals from Jenna James and Kate McGovern in the second, but the Lancers tallied the final four goals of the half to lead 9-7. 

  • Worcester State opened the third with three straight pushing the lead to 12-7, but the Rams closed the frame with a tally from Allessia Lye. 

  • Worcester State maintained the lead in the fourth as each team scored twice in the frame. 

  • McGovern, James, and Madeline Bosma tallied two goals apiece in the game, while Kendzulak finished with two goals and an assist. 

  • Lye finished the game with a goal and four helpers.
