Strong Second Half Propels Women’s Lacrosse to 19-8 Victory over Mass. Maritime

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team received a combined 13 goals from Jenna James and Maddie Bosma as the Rams defeated Mass. Maritime 19-8 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Maple Street Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • James paced the Rams with eight goals and a ground ball, while Bosma finished the game with five goals and a ground ball. 

  • The Bucs got on the board first just over a minute into the game, before the Rams scored three straight including two from Jenna James to lead 3-1.   

  • Mass. Maritime tallied two straight tying the game before Pizzardi scored unassisted giving the Rams a 4-3 lead after one. 

  • Emma Kendzulak extended the lead to 5-3 in the opening minutes of the second. Both teams scored in the final minute, including Pizzardi's second of the game, giving the Rams a 6-4 lead at the half. 

  • The Rams outscored the Bucs 6-2 in the third quarter and led 12-6 going to the fourth.  James and Lewis connected for a pair of goals in the frame. 

  • The Rams opened the fourth with five straight including three from James and two from Bosma to extend the lead to 17-6 with just over ten to play. 

  • Isabella DiMare earned the victory in net making no saves in her half of action, while Allison Wurms maded one stop in the second half.
