Fourth Seed Women’s Lacrosse Defeats Fifth Seed Fitchburg State to Advance to MASCAC Semifinals
Framingham, Mass. - The fourth seeded Framingham State University women's lacrosse team defeated fifth seed Fitchburg State 18-3 in an opening round game of the 2026 MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament at Maple Street Field.

The Rams were paced by three goals and seven assists from Alessia Lye, while Jenna James found the back of the net six times.

Madeline Bosma finished the game with three goals, while Kate McGovern added two goals and two helpers.

Gabby Foster chipped in with a goal and two assists, while Emma Kendzulak added a goal and an assist.

Isabella DiMare earned the victory in net making five saves as the Rams held a 32-10 advantage in shots.

The Rams jumped out a 4-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game and led 10-0 after one. McGovern, James and Bosma each scored twice in the opening frame.

The Falcons got on the board in the opening minutes of the second on free position shot from Jessica St. George, but the Rams scored the final four of the half and led 14-1 at the intermission.

The Rams maintained the lead throughout the second half as the Falcons received second half goals from Paige Marchand and Layne Thomason.
