Fourth Seed Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Top Seed Worcester State in MASCAC Semifinals

Worcester, Mass. - The fourth seeded Framingham State University women's lacrosse team was defeated 12-5 by top seed Worcester State this evening in one semifinal of the 2026 MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament aCoughlin Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • Isabell DiMare took the loss in net for the Rams and made 16 saves in the game. 

  • The Rams got on the board first on a McGovern tally just three minutes into the game, but the Lancers tallied four straight to lead 4-1 with just under six to play. The Rams used goals from Fugazzotto and James to close the gap to 4-3 after one. 

  • The Lancers took control of the game in the second period as they tallied five goals and held the Rams scoreless to lead 9-3 at the half. 

  • Each team tallied a goal in the third sending the game to the fourth with the Lancers up 10-4. 

  • Worcester State added two in the fourth and the Rams received McGovern's second of the game in the fourth to reach the final margin
