James Named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Year as Women's Lacrosse Places Four on All-MASCAC Teams

Framingham, Mass. – Freshman attack Jenna James (Brewerton, NY) has been selected the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Year as the Rams saw four players earn All-MASCAC Honors. 

James earned All-MASCAC First Team honors along with senior goalie Isabella DiMare (Wakefield, Mass.) and freshman defender Kylie Thomas (New Hartford, NY). Senior attacker Alessia Lye (Hamden, Conn.) is the Rams lone honoree on the second team. 

James led the Rams with 53 goals and two assists for 55 points during her rookie season.  She recorded an 84.7 shots on goal percentage with 17 ground balls, seven draw controls and four caused turnovers. James, who ranked second in the MASCAC in goals this season, was named MASCAC Rookie of the Week three times and had four or more goals five times during the season. 

The 2026 Rams finished the season 8-11 overall and 4-3 in league action. The Rams earned the fourth seed in the MASCAC Tournament advancing to the semifinals where they were defeated by tournament champion Worcester State.
