Johnson Selected MASCAC Women’s Soccer Co-Player of the Week
Framingham, Mass. — Senior Jill Johnson (Mansfield, Mass.) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for the Week ending October 2nd. This is Johnson's first player of the week selection this season and she shares the honor with Westfield State forward Kayley Miller.
Johnson, who is a regular field player for the Rams, posted a pair of shutout victories in two emergency starts in goal. Johnson made three saves in a 2-0 shutout win at Elms on Tuesday and followed that up with five saves in a 1-0 overtime victory over Salem State on Saturday during FSU's Homecoming and Parent's Weekend. The Rams, who are 2-1 in the MASCAC, return to action next Saturday as they MCLA at 1 p.m.
