Parent & Georgio Earn MASCAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Honors
Framingham, Mass. – Junior forward Marisa Parent (Revere, Mass.) and freshman forward Allisa Georgio (West Greenwich, RI) have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) as the Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 20th.
Parent earns her third Player of the Week honors this season and shared the recognition with Westfield State midfielder Sarah Sypek. Parent tallied three goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for the Rams. She netted her second hat trick of the season in a 5-3 victory over Wentworth and assisted on the overtime game winner against Fitchburg State.
Georgio grabs her first weekly honor in her rookie season after tallying the game winner in overtime to secure a 2-1 victory over Fitchburg State. The marker was Georgio's first collegiate tally and helped the Rams remain atop the MASCAC standings.
