Women’s Soccer Lands in 6th Spot in MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's soccer team has been predicted to finish in sixth place in the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Preseason Poll as voted upon by the eight MASCAC head coaches. 

The Rams picked up 25 votes in the poll after a 1-5-1 MASCAC record in 2023. Returning for the Rams is All-Conference defender Victoria Potter who helped the team's defense hold their opponents to a .118 shooting percentage a season ago.  

Westfield State landed in first place with six of eight possible first place votes. In the second spot is Bridgewater State with the final three first place votes ahead of Worcester State who comes in third. Sitting in fourth is Fitchburg State followed by Salem State in the fifth spot. After the Rams, finishing out the 2024 women's soccer poll in seventh and eighth are Massachusetts Maritime and MCLA, respectively.  

The Rams open their 2024 campaign under first-year head coach Michael La Francesca on Friday, August 30th when they host Roger Williams at 4pm.
