Women’s Soccer Secures 2-0 Victory Over Dean College

Franklin, Mass. – The Framingham State Rams women's soccer team earned a decisive 2-0 victory over Dean College on Wednesday evening in Franklin.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams opened the scoring in the 30th minute when Sarah Bashore found the back of the net with an unassisted goal, giving Framingham State a 1-0 lead. 

  • Early in the second half, Melissa Romeiro doubled the Rams' advantage with an unassisted goal in the 51st minute, securing the 2-0 victory. 

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Framingham State dominated the offensive stats, outshooting Dean College 40-5, with 22 shots on goal compared to Dean's 3. 

  • Hailey Ring led the Rams with 9 shots, 5 of which were on target. 

  • Goalkeeper Amelia Finley recorded 3 saves to earn the shutout victory. 

  • Dean College's goalkeeper, Lexi Gerow, made an impressive 20 saves despite the loss. 

  • The Rams had 5 corner kicks, while Dean College had 6.
