Women's Track & Field Places Fifth at 2021 MASCAC Championships
Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University outdoor women's outdoor track finished fifth this afternoon at the 2021 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic (MASCAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Westfield State University. The Bears of Bridgewater State University finished the meet as the 2021 MASCAC Team Champions.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Rams once again saw several school records and new personal bests set on the day.
- In the throwing events Delaney Sherman closed the season with a school record toss of 30.25m in the javelin which was good enough to finish second in the event. Sherman tossed a personal best 28.04m in the discus which placed her fifth.
- Patrice Haney once again was solid for the Rams in the 100 and 200M dashes. In the 100m, Haney crossed the line in a school best 13.42 second and in the 200M she added another new school record crossing at 27.8.
- Elizabeth Dykstra broke the school record in the 400M that she established two weeks ago. Dykstra placed fifth with her new personal best and new school record time of 1:05.03. Brooke Fenton placed eighth in the event with a time of 1:18.54.
- Leah Chace paced the Rams in the 1,500M run with a seventh place finish in a school record time of 5:39.88, while teammates Gwen Madden and Katie Hayes finished in seventh and eighth place.
- Emily Newcomb led the way in the 800m with an eighth place finish in a time of 2:37.93, while Camille Carvalho placed seventh in the 5,000m run with a time of 22:05.
- The Rams 4X400 relay team established a new school record with their fourth place finish. Dykstra, Chace, Hayes and Newcomb combined to cross the line in a time of 4:37.54.
