Women’s Track and Field Places Third at Regis Spring Classic
Weston, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's outdoor track and field team saw a pair of athletes win events and two athletes qualify for All-New England's as the Rams finished third at the Regis Spring Classic.

Amy Tansek won the shot put for the Rams and qualified for DIII New Englands with her throw of 10.99m, while Cali Leger finished seventh (9.65m).

Kate Buban won the 5,000m run with a time of 18:47.53.

Jamie Moniz had a strong day for the Rams in the field events. Moniz finished ninth in the long jump (4.47m), seventh in the high jump (1.36m), sixth in the triple jump (9.83m) and third in the javelin (31.99m).

The Rams finished third and fourth in the 3,000m steeple chase with Sarah Campbell crossing at 13:26 and Grace Avery following at 13:40.

The Rams finished the 400m run in third through eighth. Cassandra Toth led the way in third at 1:06.14, Ellen Child in fourth at 1:08.26, Lily Gouveia in fifth at 1:08.94 and Sarah Bashore in sixth at 1:11.23.

Emma Foley placed third in the triple jump at 10.28m which is a new school record, while Justine Pickard finished sixth in the 1500m run at 5:26.41.

Meghan Johnston and Lydia Marunowski finished fourth and sixth in the 800m run, while Natalie Grimaldo finished fourth in the 400m hurdles and qualified for DIII New England's for the second straight year.
