Volleyball Splits Matches with Elms and Fisher

Chicopee, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team defeated Elms College 3-1 before falling to Fisher College 3-2 this afternoon in a non-conference tri--match.   

THE BASICS: 

- Scores:  Framingham State 3, Elms 1 (26-24, 13-25, 25-20, 25-15) 
Fisher 3, Framingham State 2 (24-26, 26-24, 25-18, 14-25, 15-12) 

- Records:  Framingham State (2-2), Elms (1-1), Fisher (1-0) 

- Location:  Elms College – Chicopee, Mass.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

FSU 3, Elms 0 

• The Rams took the opening match of the day by scores of 26-24, 13-25, 25-20, 25-15. 

• Natalie Reynolds paced the Rams on the attack with 14 kills to go along with four blocks and two digs. 

• Madysen Cedron added 11 kills and three digs, while Jaimee Lowe and Emma Dobbins chipped in with six kills apiece. Dobbins added three blocks in the match 

• Stella Bailey chipped in with 35 set assists and 14 digs, while Kristina Santiago-Alers and Lowe finished with 14 digs apiece. Santiago-Alers added four service aces and two assists. 

Fisher 3, FSU 2  

• The Rams fell to Fisher by scores of 24-26, 26-24, 25-18, 14-25, 15-12 in their second match of the day. 

• Reynolds once again paced the Rams on the attack with 16 kills and nine digs to go along with a block. 

• Lowe added 11 kills and 14 defensive digs with an ace. 

• Santiago-Alers once again paced the defense with 23 defensive digs and an ace, while Carly Beaulieu chipped in with 19 defensive digs. 

• Bailey finished the match with 10 digs and 37 assists and Anneli DiVirgilio added 16 digs. while
