67 Rams Named to Fall 2014 MASCAC All-Academic Team
Westfield, Mass. - A total of 737 student-athletes, including 67 from Framingham State University, have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall 2014 All-Academic Team as announced earlier today by MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Cardeiro Scores Twice As Rams Lockup Playoff Spot On Senior Day
Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University junior Cory Cardeiro (Fall River, MA) scored twice and hit the game winner six minutes and fifty seven seconds into the first overtime to lead the Rams to a win on senior day over Westfield State. With the win the Rams improve to 4-11-2 and 3-3-1 in the conference and have clinched a spot in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) tournament. The Owls fall to 3-11-3 and 2-4-1 in the MASCAC.

Men's Soccer Falls 3-0 at Clark
Worcester, Mass. – Zack Blais (Tiverton, R.I.) had a career-high three assists and Oscar Zapata (Lima, Peru) scored a pair of first half goals to lift host Clark University to a 3-0 win over Framingham State in non-league men' soccer action at a rainy Granger Soccer Turf on Wednesday evening.

Men’s Soccer Shutout by Mass. Maritime
Framingham, Mass. – Junior Connor McInnis (Duxbury, MA/ Tabor Academy) headed a cross from freshman Chris Beaulieu (Carver, MA) into the back of the net in the 4th minute of play to lead the Mass. Maritime to a 2-0 victory over the host Framingham State Saturday afternoon. With the victory the Buccaneers improves to 6-7-1 (3-2-1 MASCAC) and the Rams fall to 4-10-2 (2-3-1 MASCAC).

Men’s Soccer Falls Short in 2-1 Loss to MIT
Framingham, Mass. – MIT freshman Joshua Wilson (West Chester, PA/ Episcopal) broke a 1-1 tie in the 36th minute leading the MIT Engineers past the host Framingham State Rams 2-1 in a non-conference match-up under the lights at Maple St. field Tuesday night. The game was pushed up a day due to a poor weather forecast the rest of the week. With the victory the Engineers improve to 6-4-4 on the season while the Rams fall to 4-9-2.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State University defeated Framingham State University, 2-0 in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's soccer contest Saturday evening. With the victory the Falcons improve to 6-8 (2-3 MASCAC), while the Rams fall to 4-8-2 (2-2-1 MASCAC).
